BI Reporting Developer

This is an opportunity to join a growing industrial group transforming its data and analytics capability, working in close partnership with the Data Engineering Lead we are also hiring.

This role supports both established operating businesses and a new focused product platform. The focus is on turning complex operational and commercial data into clear, trusted and actionable insight.

The Role

You will work directly with business stakeholders to understand decision drivers, define KPIs and translate requirements into robust analytical solutions. Early priorities include delivering a suite of high impact Power BI dashboards that build trust in data and demonstrate immediate value.

Alongside this, you will contribute to the analytics capability of a new product platform, helping shape how data is modelled, exposed and consumed by internal teams and, over time, external users.

This is not a report factory role. You will interrogate source data, assess quality and lineage, document assumptions and work closely with data engineering to strengthen data foundations over time.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience in BI development or analytics roles

• Advanced Power BI capability including data modelling, DAX and performance optimisation

• Strong SQL skills for querying and validating source data

• Proven experience engaging directly with business stakeholders and translating ambiguous requirements into usable insight

• Experience assessing data quality and clearly communicating limitations and assumptions

Highly desirable experience includes Python for advanced analysis or automation, familiarity with modern cloud data platforms such as Azure or Fabric, and exposure to operational or industrial data environments.
